Nobody is talking about this in Hyrox training.

You don’t need a different workout every week.

You need to get better at the same things over time.

That’s progressive overload.

And it shouldn’t only apply to strength training.

It applies to your entire Hyrox program.

Your easy runs gradually get longer.

Your threshold work gets faster.

Your strength numbers improve.

Your station technique becomes more efficient.

Your Hyrox workouts progress from controlled efforts to harder, more race-specific sessions.

Maybe you run the same workout four weeks later and you’re faster.

Maybe you use heavier sleds at the same effort.

Maybe you hold the same Ski Erg pace with a lower heart rate.

Maybe you complete the same compromised workout with shorter recovery.

That’s progress.

Random workouts can make you tired.

But if the workout changes every single time, it’s really hard to know whether you’re actually getting better.

Stop chasing variety just because it looks more exciting.

Have a purpose.

Track your training.

Progress it.

Then prove you’re better than you were a month ago.

Progressive overload isn’t just for the weight room. It’s how your entire Hyrox program should be built.
