The Rural Justice Initiative Committee has identified strategies to increase the number of attorneys in rural communities. One recommendation is to create a student loan repayment program for attorneys living and practicing in rural Kansas. By modeling the program after other state loan repayment programs, new attorneys would have a strong incentive to practice law in rural Kansas.
