Florida State football will be practicing in Jacksonville, Florida, today and tomorrow then they will travel back to Tallahassee, Florida, to have their second scrimmage on Sunday night.

As a result, I want to highlight five players on the Seminoles’ roster that I am excited to see develop and grow with the Jacksonville practices.

-QB Ashton Daniels: The Seminoles have been involved with the transfer quarterback portal market over the last couple of years, and the coaching staff is hoping that the two-game sample size from the Vanderbilt and Alabama games can continue.

-WR Devin Carter: The talk of fall camp so far has been true freshman wide receiver Jasen Lopez. However, the legacy player Devin Carter has been making noise too. This could be a great opportunity to showcase his skills.

-WR Tae’Shaun Gelsey: The coaching staff has had glowing remarks about the Jacksonville native. The 6’4” pass catcher could be a useful weapon to overwhelm opposing defenders. With Gelsey returning home, this could be a great opportunity for him to continue growing and developing his role in the offense.

-DE Rylan Kennedy: Florida State has plenty of options on its defensive line, and the coaching staff was excited to bring in former Texas A&M pass rusher Rylan Kennedy, who they feel is just scratching the surface of what he could be. This could be a great coming out party for the senior.

-LB Omar Graham Jr: The hype around transfer linebacker Chris Jones is real. He has been referred to as a “heat seeking missile” and will be a major factor in the Seminoles’ defensive game plan. Florida State needs other linebackers to step up in the room, and the senior Omar Graham Jr. could be up to the challenge. 🍢 #gonoles #fsufootball #floridastate #fsufallcamp #ashtondaniels
