Deante McCray had a couple of nice “flash moments” in the scrimmage.

McCray would be a nice candidate to take the next step in his development in 2026. The former Western Kentucky transfer recorded 25 tackles (4.5 for loss), and one sack last year.

The redshirt senior will have to battle reps with the likes of Mandrell Desir, Darryll Desir, Rylan Kennedy, Daniel Lyons, Kevin Wynn, Deamontae Diggs, Jordan Sanders, Jalen Anderson, among others.

There are plenty of options that assistant coaches Terrance Knighton and Nick Williams can choose from.
