On Tuesday, the Providence College School of Business hosted the Almpact Challenge, bringing together more than 100 students and industry leaders in '64 Hall to tackle some of the world’s most pressing issues. 
The event was the capstone of AI Literacy Certificate Program, a pilot that launched in February.
The evening focused on practical application: students leveraged advanced AI systems to engineer scalable solutions for global crises, including world hunger. By synthesizing prompt engineering with critical problem-solving, participants demonstrated how emerging technology can be used as a force for significant social good.
A special thank you to Marianne Doran-Collins '85, director of data analytics & AI, for coordinating this successful event. Congratulations to all the students who participated and took a major step toward earning their AI badge!
