🔥 SEGA’s one-of-one real-life Dark Rider motorcycle from Shadow the Hedgehog is officially heading to auction for charity.

Built for SEGA’s 2024 “Fearless: Year of Shadow” campaign, the custom machine was designed with Oil Sweat & Gears and Atmospherics SFX to bring Shadow’s fictional bike into the real world.

Underneath the wild bodywork is a genuine 2000 Bourget custom powered by a 1,750cc S&S Super Stock V-twin paired with an Ultimate six-speed gearbox.

The massive build weighs around 280 kg (617 lb) and stretches approximately 2.6 meters (8.5 feet) from end to end.

During its promotional life, the Dark Rider appeared at events including the British MotoGP at Silverstone, Gamescom, EGX/MCM Comic Con and promotions surrounding Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

It’s currently configured as a static display rather than a road-going motorcycle, meaning its next owner would need to recommission it before attempting to ride it.

Bonhams will offer the Dark Rider at its Autumn Stafford Sale on October 11, 2026, with a pre-auction estimate of £10,000–£15,000.

Bonhams also says this is believed to be the first piece of SEGA memorabilia coming directly from the company to be offered at auction.

Proceeds from the sale will support the Luca Guintoli Foundation, founded by World Superbike champion Sylvain Guintoli in honor of his son Luca and dedicated to helping children affected by cancer or autism and their families.
