😳 Richard Hammond just got caught speeding twice in 20 days, once in a Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo and again in a Bentley Continental GT.

The first offence came on December 2, 2025, when his all-electric Porsche was clocked at 68 mph in a 50 mph zone on the A40 at Pencraig, Herefordshire.

Twenty days later, the Bentley was recorded at 82 mph in a 70 mph zone, giving him two offences in two very different high-performance grand tourers.

Hammond pleaded guilty through his lawyers and was handed seven penalty points on his licence.

The financial hit totalled £1,771, made up of £333 and £666 fines, £240 in costs and £532 in victim surcharges.

Interestingly, the Taycan run was the bigger violation at 18 mph over the limit, compared with 12 mph over in the Bentley.

The pairing is peak Hammond: one silent electric performance wagon and one luxury GT, both caught by ordinary roadside enforcement.

Two additional allegations over failing to identify the driver were withdrawn after his solicitor said Hammond had replied by post.

After years of Top Gear and The Grand Tour chaos, this time there was no runway, racetrack or stunt crew involved, just public roads and a very expensive reminder that speed limits still apply.

Which would have tempted you more on an open road, the Taycan Cross Turismo or the Continental GT?
