I believe in everything I’m doing. The on-demand nursing. The bed sharing. The responding every single time. I would choose it all again.

And also — at 3am with two babies who have decided sleep is a suggestion — my brain goes places.

A full bottle someone else makes. A schedule that exists. A bedtime that stays.

I don’t want those things. I just think about them. Lovingly. Briefly. And then I latch someone on and come back to myself.
