It’s Time!!! 🧪🔥 Fire Cider Season is upon us! The potent immune supporting tonic gets its benefits from all the ingredients you pack into it. Roots, spices, citrus, peppers, herbs & more working together to pack quite the punch when it comes to seasonal shifts.
Want to make your own? Here’s how!

1 small red onion - sliced
1 small orange - sliced
1/2 cup fresh ginger - chopped
1/2 cup fresh turmeric - chopped
1/4 carrots - sliced
1 bunch fresh rosemary
1 bunch fresh thyme
Fresh hot peppers. As many as desired. Halved. Each will up the spice level. I like to use habeneros, Thai chilies, and jalapeños.
1/2 cup garlic - peeled
1 whole lemon - quartered
3-4 sticks of cinnamon
2 bay leaves
4 star anise pods
8 cloves
Optional add ins - horseradish, cranberries, oregano, sage, lime, elderberries, lemongrass, peppercorns, Rose hips.
unpasteurized apple cider vinegar - as much as your jar can hold.

Add all the solid ingredients to your jar(s). Fill the jar(s) with as much ACV as it can holds cover the jar with a piece of parchment and a lid. Store in a cool, dark place for 1 month. Strain the liquid from the solids and store the liquid in an airtight container in a cool place away from the sun for 6-8 months. You can add honey (or maple syrup) to the liquid to help cut the sharpness if desired.
Take 1-2 tablespoons daily. You can also use to make dressings and sauces! #firecider #fallrecipes #kitchenwitch #greenwitch
