𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟭.

I ended up in the hospital with a compound fracture. They put a rod in my shin from my knee down to my ankle, and I spent the next six weeks there on IV antibiotics.

I had the manager of the company I worked for bring me my entire setup.

All four monitors. 🖥️🖥️🖥️🖥️

I turned that hospital room into my office and went right back to booking moves like I never missed a beat.

The nurses had no idea what the hell I was doing. They thought I was a day trader. 😂

By the time I left six weeks later, I had made about $28,000 from that hospital room.

But looking back, the money wasn’t even close to the most important thing I gained during those six weeks.

I had nothing but time.

Time to work on my bank account, but more importantly, time to work on myself.

I was working the 12 steps of recovery and talking to my sponsor every day.

I also spent those six weeks talking to a woman who, at the time, I didn’t know from a can of paint.

I had no idea she would eventually become my wife.

And there’s a part of this story I don’t talk about lightly.

I didn’t just get hit by that car. I jumped in front of it.

At that point in my life, I had been told I would never see my son again.

I believed it.

And in that moment, I genuinely thought my life was over.

I was wrong.

Those six weeks became one of the biggest blessings in disguise I’ve ever experienced.

I worked.
I made money.
I worked my steps.
I talked to my sponsor every day.
I built a relationship with the woman who would eventually become my wife.

And little by little, without even realizing it, I started building a completely different life.

It’s crazy looking back at it now.

I went into that hospital believing my life was over.

While I was lying there thinking everything had fallen apart, the pieces of my new life were already starting to come together.

Six weeks later, I walked out of that hospital not realizing…

My new life had already begun. ❤️‍🩹
