Thousands of people filled the streets of Prague on Saturday for the city’s annual Pride march.⁣

Participants dressed in colourful outfits and carried banners with messages including “less judgment, more love.”⁣
⁣
A minute’s silence was held before the march to honour victims of the July attack in Berlin during a similar event.⁣
⁣
Hundreds of police officers and a riot control team were deployed to monitor the parade, with organizers expecting around 45,000 people to attend.⁣
⁣
Prague Pride has attracted international visitors since it was first held in 2011. This year, participants also travelled from the United States, joining the event at the invitation of Prague’s only gay men’s choir.⁣

The parade comes 15 years after Prague Pride’s first edition, which faced fierce opposition from conservative groups.⁣
