China has successfully launched two new hyperspectral satellites, Oriental Smart Eye 01 and Oriental Smart Eye 02, from waters off the coast of Haiyang in east China's Shandong Province.⁣

Lifted into space by a Smart Dragon-3 (SD-3) carrier rocket, the satellites successfully entered their planned orbit. The offshore launch mission was carried out by the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center.⁣
