Tonight, Cabo Verdean pride filled one of the most historic stadiums in American sports as Fenway Park celebrated Cabo Verde Night. ⚾️🇨🇻

@silva_barros of @celebratecaboverde and our very own Demetrius “Boo Boo” Andrade @boobooandrade stepped onto the field and proudly represented our people. Demetrius is a world champion, an Olympian and one of the greatest Cape Verdean athletes of his generation, but tonight, both of them represented something even greater: our culture, our community and every Cabo Verdean who continues to carry our flag with pride.

Thank you to Celebrate Cabo Verde for the work you continue to do to preserve our culture, unite our community and create moments like this. Seeing our people honored at @fenwaypark  was truly special and a reminder that no matter how small our islands may be, our presence can be felt everywhere.
