handheld split diopter, and it’s a piece of glass in your hand 🔊

hold it in front of half the lens and drag it across between shots. half the frame stays sharp, the other half smears, and you get a transition no plugin can fake. the ui data layer on top is what makes it read as intentional rather than an accident.

cheapest in camera effect there is and it still beats doing it in post.
