This is Namibia’s hidden safari gem & you won’t want to miss it! 🌿🐘🦁

Most tourists won’t make it here because it definitely is a bit remote (part of the magic). 

But Nkasa Rupara National Park is unlike *anywhere* else in Namibia, and is considered the lesser-known, mini version of Botswana’s famous Okavango Delta. Green lush wetlands, active lion prides, a corridor for elephant migration, and even wild dog. 

You’ll find it in the northeastern-most corner of Namibia (zoom in on a map to find that skinny strip poking out) wedged between Botswana, Angola, Zambia and Zimbabwe. And actually, you can access this park from any of these 5 countries! 🌍

Elephants have moved through this corridor for centuries but were decimated by poachers tragically. 🐘

But several years ago, a group of conservationists stepped in to protect this land and restore it as a safe passageway… and it’s working. 🙌🏼

Poaching has dropped dramatically. We saw families of elephant wading through the rivers, huge herds of buffalo grazing, lions playing and chasing one another… and falling asleep to the songs of *thousands* of birds now living here is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. 🦜🎶 

The journey here might take some extra effort, but you’ll definitely be rewarded for stepping off the beaten tourist track.
