Move-in day is almost here!

Save this checklist for move-in day so you'll have one less thing to think about before you arrive. 

A few reminders to help make the day a little smoother:
- Label your boxes. Write your name and room number on every box to help keep your belongings together during move-in.
- Pack your essentials separately. Keep your ID, medications, chargers, toiletries and a change of clothes in a backpack or tote so they're easy to grab.
- Bring a mini toolkit. Scissors, a box cutter, tape and a screwdriver will come in handy as you unpack.
- Charge your phone. You'll be using it all day for directions, photos and staying in touch.
- Eat breakfast and stay hydrated. Move-in is exciting, but it's also a long (and usually hot) day.
- Introduce yourself. Your roommate and neighbors are meeting people for the first time, too. A simple hello can go a long way.
- Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. You'll be walking, lifting and spending plenty of time outside.
- Your room doesn't have to be perfect today. Focus on unpacking the essentials—you'll have plenty of time to decorate and settle in.
- Give yourself grace. It's okay if move-in feels exciting, emotional or a little overwhelming. Everyone is figuring it out together.
