On the field, play becomes purpose. 🏉

In Nairobi and Mombasa, Play for Peace is turning rugby fields and community spaces into places for dialogue, reflection, and connection across difference.

In these urban hubs shaped by diversity, young people come together through sport and a locally designed card game to explore leadership, belonging, and civic participation. On the pitch and around the table, conversations emerge naturally around inclusion, trust, and how shared futures are built in diverse communities.

What unfolds is more than play — it becomes a space where stereotypes are questioned and new understanding is built through interaction.

Play for Peace is part of the #YouthForPeace: UNESCO Intercultural Leadership Programme, supporting 50 community-led initiatives worldwide, projected to reach more than 1.12 million people and strengthen social cohesion through intercultural leadership.
