🌐 Your language belongs online.

Yet today, only a few hundred languages are fully accessible on the Internet, out of more than 7,000 spoken worldwide.

Universal Acceptance (UA) is a technical solution with real human impact. It ensures that all domain names and email addresses function properly, regardless of language, script or character length, so people can access information, services and opportunities in their own language.

Through their partnership, UNESCO and ICANN are working to strengthen linguistic diversity online, including the use of Internationalised Domain Names (IDNs) and making systems UA ready.

Because in a world where over 6 billion people are online, and billions more are yet to connect, a truly inclusive digital future must be multilingual by design.

From 25 March to 30 May 2026, #UADay2026 brings communities together worldwide to help make this a reality.
