Step back to 2004 with this newly restored promotional video for Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Originally released to promote the attraction's grand opening on June 25, 2004, this promotional piece captures the excitement surrounding one of Universal Studios Hollywood's most ambitious attractions. Combining high-speed roller coaster thrills with immersive storytelling, elaborate sets, practical effects, and state-of-the-art technology, Revenge of the Mummy quickly became a fan favorite—and remains one of the park's signature attractions more than two decades later.

Built inside the former E.T. Adventure show building, the indoor roller coaster uses Linear Induction Motors (LIMs) to launch riders through ancient Egyptian tombs filled with warrior mummies, hidden treasures, scarab beetles, collapsing chambers, and the curse of Imhotep. Riders experience multiple launches, forward and backward coaster sections, immersive surround sound, impressive practical effects, animatronics, projections, and detailed movie-quality sets inspired by The Mummy film franchise.
