"I honestly pursued the IHP certification, initially for myself. I was in a "grasping at straws" phase with my health, where I wasn't getting the answers, support, or help from traditional doctors, and was really trying to get answers for myself, my health, and my healing. I have approached the IHP certification process as more of an "al a carte". I didn't want to go in with a mentality of anything other than, I want to learn. I didn't want to become dogmatic or tunnel-visioned with anything, I just wanted information and knowledge.

As I've gone through the program, I have been trying to build the internal confidence to feel like I could use the knowledge I now have (and continue to pursue), to start my own business, and help others. The idea of helping others is both terrifying, and empowering, as I know through the process of helping others, it will provide more to me than I realize in terms of confidence, healing, and empowerment."
