SMU is heading into their third season at the Power 4 level and has made a lot of noise over the past two years.

In 2024, the Mustangs won 11 games, reached the ACC Championship, and went to the College Football Playoff, and last year they won 9 games, notably beating National Runner-up Miami and took down #17 Arizona in their bowl game.

SMU heads into 2026 with hopes of not just reaching the ACC Championship and CFP, but winning there.

Head coach Rhett Lashlee enters his 5th season at the helm of the program, with a record of 31-10 over the past three years.

The offense is led by co-offensive coordinators Rob Likens and D’Eriq King (former Houston and Miami QB).
