One of the most intriguing battles throughout the offseason has been the quarterback race. Early on, Neal Brown has told the media that fifth-year senior Tayven Jackson has the early beat on headlining the team’s 2026 offense.

“Tayven’s got a lot of experience and is maturing and making fewer mistakes, which is a credit to him and how he’s worked as well,” Brown said following fall camp practice Tuesday. “I would say he’s ahead.”
