KATSEYE’s leader, Sophia Laforteza, announced that she will be taking a temporary hiatus to prioritise her “mental health and wellness.” ➡️

“It truly breaks my heart to have to miss out on a lot. You know how much I love being on stage, performing, and sharing these moments with you,” Sophia shared on her IG story.

She goes on to say that the decision “wasn’t easy” for her, but her health has to come first. ❤️

“I’m realizing that if I don’t take care of my mind and body now, I won’t be able to keep doing what I love the most for so long.”

Sophia is the second member to take a hiatus from KATSEYE, with Manon Bannerman announcing her temporary hiatus six months prior so she could focus on her health and well-being. 

Hybe × Geffen shared a statement saying that the team will reassess her condition in Septemberand will update fans at that time.
