Student success extends beyond the classroom. This month, we're recognizing Caring for Denver grantees that are strengthening mental health, preventing substance misuse, and ensuring young people have the support they need at school, at home, and in their communities. 

Grantee Spotlight: Project PAVE, Inc.

Project PAVE helps young people build healthy relationships, strengthen emotional well-being, and develop the skills they need to thrive in school and beyond. By partnering with students, educators, and families, the organization creates safer, more supportive school communities where young people can grow with confidence.

With support from Caring for Denver, Project PAVE is expanding school-based mental health services for students at four Denver Public Schools. Through individual counseling, support groups, crisis intervention, and violence prevention education, students impacted by violence receive the tools and support they need to build resilience, strengthen healthy relationships, and navigate life's challenges. By intervening early, Project PAVE helps young people develop skills that can reduce the likelihood of future violence and promote long-term mental wellness.

By equipping young people with the tools to navigate challenges and build healthy relationships, Project PAVE is helping Denver students create a stronger foundation for lifelong well-being.
