we will always remember the khalid era 🫂

back in 2017 khalid released his debut album 'american teen,' and it perfectly summarized the feeling of growing up during that era

there were carefree tracks like 'location' or 'young dumb and broke,' heart breaking ones like 'coaster' or 'hopeless,' and so many other emotions that could be named

it felt like every single person on planet earth was listening to his music at the time, and even in the years that followed he dropped classics like 'lovely' with billie eilish and 'east side' with halsey and benny blanco

khalid amassed billions of streams over a 5-10 year period, and this casually left him as the soundtrack for an entire generations youth as i said in the slides above

there was just something so special about that time period in music, and i had to make a post to reflect on it
