Back in 2013, Detroit businessman Alan Markovitz reportedly ended up living next door to his ex-wife before installing a 12 foot high middle finger sculpture on his terrace.⁠

According to reports at the time, the bronze sculpture cost around $7,000 and was even illuminated at night, making it pretty difficult for the neighbours to miss.⁠

Markovitz claimed living next door to his ex was a “coincidence” and said the sculpture was actually aimed at the man she was with rather than her.⁠
