Another 36°C heatwave could be heading for parts of the UK this week. Temperatures are expected to reach highs of 36°C in some areas on Thursday and Friday.⁠

If reached, it could make this the second hottest spell of the summer so far, after temperatures hit 38°C in June.⁠

ITV Weather says this summer has now seen four consecutive months in which temperatures have reached 35°C or above, with repeated spells of high pressure bringing prolonged sunshine and dry conditions.⁠

Warm and stuffy nights are also expected, while the heat is forecast to gradually ease after Friday for many areas.⁠
