🔭 Congratulations to Matthew Werneken (SEAS’24, CC’25) who was named a Hertz Fellow! At Columbia, Matthew co-led the team behind the LIONESS satellite mission to study the circumgalactic medium, and was also co-president of ColumbiaSpaceInitiative. Matthew is currently an astronomy doctoral student at Harvard, where he works on both astrophysical instrumentation and observational surveys to study the environments of the Milky Way galaxy and its neighbors. 🚀
