🚨 The USGS is at #AGU24! 🌍

This week, 28,000 scientists from around the globe have gathered to share groundbreaking research. Among them are a multitude of USGS scientists who are experts in their fields!

From cutting-edge research on tectonics, water resources, and natural hazards to revolutionary work in astrogeology and land imaging, the USGS is delivering science for a changing world.

📆Join the USGS Town Hall tomorrow, December 10th @ 6pm: Delivering Actionable Science for a Changing World!

Led by USGS Director David Applegate, this session will highlight how USGS science is tackling the toughest environmental, natural resource, and public safety challenges. From local communities to global leaders, our non-regulatory, unbiased science provides the tools for policymakers -- and you -- to make informed decisions.

📆And be sure to stop by and meet Dr. Sara K. McBride at her poster session tomorrow as well: Linking Early Warnings to Early Actions.

Learn more about ShakeAlert, an earthquake early warning system for the West Coast of the U.S., monitoring for significant earthquakes and issuing alerts to warn for strong shaking. But how effective it is in helping people understand and act? USGS scientists are diving into this question!

And don't forget to stop by our booth (#912) so we can geek out together!
