A San Francisco billboard promoting an AI chat service has a surprising secret hidden in the fine print. 👀
The “AI” actually stands for Average Individual.

ChatTJB is a performance art experiment created by Tucker Bryant, a conceptual artist and former Google employee. He reportedly rented a billboard in San Francisco’s SoMa district for $6,000 per month.

But there’s no AI model powering ChatTJB.org.
Instead, Bryant personally reads the prompts and responds to them himself, sometimes spending up to 10 hours a day answering questions. When users request images, he even creates those by hand. 🎨

After the billboard appeared on July 27, the project reportedly reached around 5,000 prompts per hour, with more than 30,000 queries recorded by August 6.
The idea is to encourage people to think twice before automatically trusting everything a chatbot tells them.
And the clever part? The billboard looks almost identical to the countless AI advertisements appearing across San Francisco.
