Nikki Storm says the mission for Progress Wrestling is to make it "the number one independent promotion in the world."

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Storm, who bought the company with her husband earlier this year, laid out the plan: an aggressive, intense in-ring style that still leaves room for the promotion's comedic characters, cross-promotion with companies worldwide, and a push to make Progress the centerpiece of what she calls a hotbed of talent in Britain and Europe.

She also traced how she ended up in the Wyatt Sicks. Storm said Triple H always loved the SAnitY-era version of her character, and that the switch back from the heel Nikki A.S.H. run started the creative process that led to the group. She added that she did not know she was winning Money in the Bank until rehearsal, and only learned of the next-night cash-in plan when a writer brought her to Vince McMahon's office at Raw.

Storm spent 10 years in WWE before her release alongside the rest of the Wyatt Sicks.

The full interview is on Insight with Chris Van Vliet on YouTube. Progress returns August 31 with Wrestling Over Everything at the Electric Ballroom in London, and every Progress show streams on Hooked On Wrestling TV.
