The Process Behind Major Championship-Ready Greens ⛳️Verticutting TifEagle greens in 4 different directions to pull as much organic material out as possible. The reason they’re doing that is it also takes a ton of grain out TifEagle is notoriously grainy compared to other ultradwarf Bermudas. Greens look rough right now but reopen in about a month rolling smooth and true. Part of the prep for next year’s PGA Championship, about 9 months out.  Both verticutting and aeration help firm up the greens and improve drainage for Texas’ heavy May storms ⛈️ so even if it rains hard during the Championship, players will still have firm and fast greens as much as possible. #PGAChampionship #tifeagle #golfmaintenance #greenskeeper
