Eight athletes moved from U.S. Ski & Snowboard’s new Regional Development Program onto the Stifel U.S. Ski Team this spring.

That might be the clearest sign yet of what this new system is designed to do: widen the development funnel and give more athletes a path forward.

After a promising first season, the bigger question is whether the RDP can turn early success into a development system that lasts.
