There’s an authentic Jamaican spot reggaejerkhut in McKinney TX that also serves really good Haitian dishes. It’s been a minute since we’ve pulled up to this spot and they had some new menu items for us to try. This spot has Happy Hour 3-6pm during the week and brunch on Saturdays & Sundays 11-3pm. 

Whole Red snapper 
Mac n cheese lamb chops skillet
Oxtail beef patty
Loaded jerk chicken fries 
Honey lemon pepper wings 

Starting with their drinks, they have a lychee martini that is so strong and good! The Bob Marley drink now comes frozen as well and they top it off with a shot so we’d definitely recommend. We started things out with their oxtail beef patty and they were fire. The patties were stuffed with oxtail and the flavors were on point. The loaded jerk fries were also a really good starter. It comes with a sauce that pairs really nice with the dish and you get a load of jerk chicken throughout. The Mac n cheese lamb chops skillet was also another favorite. The lamb chops were cooked very nicely and the Mac n cheese definitely tasted homemade and was nice and cheesy! Now the fried whole red snapper meal was absolutely crazy. It’s one of their signature Haitian dishes and packed so much flavor. The dish itself is very filling and there’s definitely enough to take for leftovers and enjoy back at home. 

This spot is definitely one of our favorite Jamaican spots in the DFW metroplex. From the drinks to the food to the ambiance inside, you’re going to have a good time, no matter when you go. So if you haven’t already, definitely check this spot out and go try some of the best Jamaican food.
