This is a southern spot and they have a pretty simple menu, however the food was definitely fire. They are open Tuesday-Sunday and you’re able to dine in or take your food to go. We tried a couple items on their menu and they definitely didn’t disappoint. Neighborhood special Spicy chicken sandwich basket Leg and thigh basket Banana pudding chess cake Wanda’s Tennessee butter cake Starting with the kool-aid, no matter what you order on the menu, you have to add it. The blue and the red were both hitting and not like overly sweet but just right. They have a spicy chicken sandwich that’s probably really slept on from the menu, however it’s one of our favorite chicken sandwiches in the city. The hot honey sauce on the sandwich is fire and paired nicely. We also got their southern fried chicken, which comes with a leg & thigh and your choice of 1 side. The chicken was crispy and super flavorful. Now the neighborhood special is a fan favorite, it comes with 2 wings, 2 catfish & 2 sides. The catfish was nice and crispy and the Mac n cheese and greens were our favorite sides. Also you have to get the honey gold sauce on the side, it paired nicely with the chicken. We finished things off with some of their desserts and cakes they have and we really liked their Tennessee butter cake the best. So if you’re looking for a good chicken spot and you haven’t already tried them out, definitely pull up and go show them some love. 2751 E.
