Get ready for the biggest night of stargazing this summer! ⭐

Get your pitch set up and your sky-gazing gear ready because this Wednesday is shaping up to be one of the biggest astronomical events of the decade! 

We’re in for a rare double-bill: 
⭐ Sunset Partial Solar Eclipse: Starting around 18:00 across the UK, reaching peak coverage (90–96% in the South West & West) around 19:15 (if you’re holidaying in Northern Spain, you’ll witness complete totality!)
⭐ Perseid Meteor Shower Peak: As night falls, the dark, new-moon sky creates prime conditions to spot up to 100 shooting stars per hour late into the night!

Top spots to watch
🌅 Eclipse (needs clear Western horizon): Pembrokeshire, Cornwall, & coastal West Wales.
🌌 Meteors (needs dark skies): Northumberland, Exmoor, Dartmoor, and Galloway Forest.

Safety first, everyone!
🕶️ Eclipse: DO NOT look directly at the sun with ordinary sunglasses! Use certified ISO 12312-2 eclipse glasses.
💫 Meteors: Skip the binoculars! Ditch the screens, get comfortable, and look northeast.
