Move the bone, and the whole face follows.

The maxilla was not simply pushed forward. It was advanced and downgrafted, meaning the upper jaw was brought forward and set lower, rebuilding vertical height the face never had. The mandible followed. The chin was reshaped in the same plan, as part of the same blueprint.

A movement like this leaves real space behind it, and that space has to be filled with something real. We used his own iliac bone, harvested from the hip, shaped precisely and rigidly fixed at both the maxilla and the chin. It remodeled over time and became his own facial skeleton.

Midface projection changed with no implants. His SMAS and his deep and superficial fat pads were stretched over the new framework, creating a subtle, natural tension. The lips are supported by bone instead of hanging on soft tissue. A defined chin and a clean neckline, with no soft tissue left under the chin and no liposuction needed. A wider airway, because when the face comes forward, the airway improves with it.

Form followed function. What we are drawn to as beautiful is very often what works better.

He breathes better. He looks better. And because the support is skeletal, not superficial, he will age better too.
