## Caption

ABerwyn man named Edward James Porter is now facing federal charges in the Nolan Wells case, for allegedly threatening to murder witnesses and their family members. Porter, 33, is being transferred by U.S. Marshals from Chicago to the courthouse in Jackson, Mississippi.

Now NBC Chicago's investigation of Porter's past finds the metro Chicago man repeatedly described by authorities as a "threat to safety" because of his numerous arrests for violence and saying he was going to shoot people.
