Look up, Boston. A partial solar eclipse will be visible across New England tomorrow afternoon.

In Boston:

• Eclipse begins around 1:01 p.m.
• Peaks around 1:55 p.m.
• About 16% of the sun will be covered
• Eclipse ends around 2:46 p.m.

Don’t expect the sky to suddenly go dark. WCVB says the eclipse should be visible with proper eclipse safety glasses, but the change in daylight won’t be particularly noticeable.

And yes, regular sunglasses are not safe for viewing the sun.
