The Gryphons are pleased to announce that current associate coach Mark Surya has been named as the new head coach of the football team. ⁠

Surya has been with the Gryphons since 2019 and previously held roles with Laurier and Toronto as their offensive coordinator. He becomes the 18th head coach in the history of the Gryphon football program. ⁠

Ryan Sheahan’s time with the Gryphons came to an end today following the announcement that he accepted the head coaching position at the University of Calgary. ⁠
