For just the 5th time in 30-year history of the award, a Guelph Gryphon has been named OUA Women's Athlete of the Year. Sadie-Jane Hickson (@gryphontf) shares 2021-22 OUA Athlete of the Year honours on the women's side alongside Sophie de Goede, a two-sport standout from Queen's University who stars in women's rugby and women's basketball for the Gaels.⁠

Hickson becomes the first Gryphon woman in nearly a decade to be named OUA Athlete of the Year, with Britt Benn (@gryphonswrugby) being the last @uofguelph woman to do so back in 2012-13. ⁠
