Billie Eilish — The Bell Jar

Billie is making her feature-film acting debut as Esther Greenwood in Sarah Polley’s adaptation of Sylvia Plath’s The Bell Jar. It’s a surprisingly major first role: she’s leading the film as the novel’s young writer struggling with identity, expectations and her deteriorating mental health in 1950s New York.

PinkPantheress — Untitled Daniels Film

PinkPantheress is officially making her acting debut in the next movie from Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, the Oscar-winning duo behind Everything Everywhere All at Once. Almost everything about the Universal film is being kept secret, but she joins a stacked cast including Matt Damon, Sandra Oh and Charles Melton.

Phoebe Bridgers — Primetime

Phoebe makes her proper feature acting debut in A24’s Primetime, a dark dramatization of the rise of To Catch a Predator, with Robert Pattinson playing Chris Hansen. Her role is still being kept under wraps, but she appears alongside Pattinson in a film exploring one of the strangest and most controversial eras of 2000s television.

Charli xcx — I Want Your Sex

Charli plays Minerva in Gregg Araki’s new erotic thriller I Want Your Sex, which follows a young man pulled into the provocative world of a famous artist played by Olivia Wilde. It’s also part of Charli’s much bigger push into acting, with several film roles now running along
