Nearly 1 in 10 children under 5 in #Afghanistan is experiencing acute malnutrition.

For children and families in Afghanistan, access to essential health care can be difficult and out of reach.

For families living in remote communities, Save the Children’s health clinics can be the only source of essential care nearby. Children can receive treatment for malnutrition and illness, while mothers can access vital maternal health services.

However, these services are increasingly at risk. Hundreds of health facilities across Afghanistan have closed or suspended services as humanitarian funding declines, leaving millions of people, including children, with fewer options for care.

As health care becomes harder to access, keeping lifesaving services available in remote communities is more important than ever. Every child deserves access to lifesaving care, no matter where they live.
