The AI agent race just took another major step forward.

xAI has launched Grok Bot, an early beta built around a simple idea: stop treating AI like software you constantly have to prompt and start treating it like a teammate you can hand work to.

Each Bot gets its own computer in the cloud. It can sign into the tools and websites you already use, execute projects from beginning to end, remember how you work and continue operating 24/7 even when your laptop is closed.

You can also teach it.

Perform a workflow once while the Bot watches. It can save the process as a routine and execute it independently next time.

Multiple Bots can work simultaneously and pass tasks between one another. xAI says its own teams have already used them across sales, marketing, operations and software engineering.

That distinction matters.

We are moving from AI that answers questions to AI that occupies a persistent place inside the workflow.

The interface of the next computing era may not be another app.

It may be a workforce.

* Grok Bot is currently in beta for SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra and Cursor Teams Premium subscribers, with enterprise access planned later.
