West Texas A&M's Kendra (Morgan) Potts selected for LSC Hall of Honor. 🌟

📰 Potts is the 66th inductee into the LSC Hall of Honor, which distinguishes outstanding individuals who have brought pride and honor to the conference through their contributions as an athlete or who have demonstrated a long-term commitment to the betterment of the conference as a coach or administrator.

Potts had a standout playing career for WT volleyball, finishing as a three-time All-American and the LSC’s all-time assists leader. She was also named to the LSC’s 75th Anniversary Team. In her senior campaign in 2003, Potts earn LSC Offensive Player of the Year and Panhandle Sports Hall of Fame Volleyball Player of the Year accolades.
 
Over her four-year playing career, the Lady Buffs went 129-16 overall, including 39-1 in league action with four NCAA tournament appearances and a pair of regional championships (2000 and 2003). She finished her career as just the 12th person in NCAA Division II history to reach 6,000 career assists.
 
In four seasons as an assistant coach for WT, the Lady Buffs went 131-27 (.829) and 42-3 (.933) in conference play. Potts then spent six seasons as an assistant coach at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi while also founding the Corpus Christi Force Volleyball Club. She returned to her alma mater in December of 2018 as the 15th head coach in WT history.
 
Potts went 124-24 (.839) in five seasons leading WT. She developed eight All-Americans, went 14-3 in NCAA Division II tournament matches and won her final three LSC tournaments. The Lady Buffs claimed the program's fourth NCAA Division II national championship in 2022, followed by a trip to the national finals in 2023. She was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association National Coach of the Year in 2022.
 
Potts, who was inducted into the WT Hall of Champions in 2014, is currently the volleyball head coach at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Ariz. She led the Lopes to the Western Athletic Conference Championship match in her first year.
