What started as just a favor for a friend and a side hustle for Willie Wright, has transformed into a community tradition. Today, Wright hosts weekly games at Sammy’s Tap and Grill on Tuesday nights and Mitch’s Tavern on Wednesdays, where students and alumni fill the room, leaving not a single seat open.

Wright said the groups that keep coming back have spurred friendships between each other and himself. “It has been the most consistent thing, probably in my life, work-related that’s easy. It’s not hard at all; it’s easy, it’s fun."
