We're building a tiny house in the Rocky Mountains...

and we designed it ourselves while we were still in college. Now, less than one year after graduation, it's finally starting! The house is in Twin Lakes, Colorado, just two hours away from where we live. And it's not just a tiny house - it's a destination, carefully designed to live in harmony with its breathtaking surroundings. Ground + Sky House is a small lodging used part-time as a short term rental, and part-time to serve a number of partnered non-profit groups. The project takes on two lenses through which to observe the earth: a “sky” volume for weightless living and a “ground” volume for a closer look.
