Next up in our series: Stephen Roche — Hofstra University 🦁⚽️

After 10 seasons on the Hofstra staff, Roche officially takes over as Head Coach of the Pride for the 2026 season — becoming the 10th head coach in program history.

It’s been an incredible decade of success for Roche and Hofstra: four straight CAA Championships from 2021–24, multiple NCAA Third Round appearances, three national seeds, the program’s first-ever NCAA at-large bid in 2025, and numerous players developed into MLS Draft picks and All-Americans.

After playing such a major role in building Hofstra into a consistent national contender, Roche now gets the opportunity to lead the program from the top.
