Congratulations to Community Social Services grad Brandon Graziano (class of 2026) for being a recipient of the 2026 June Callwood Award!

This award is given by the Ontario Government to honour excellence in volunteering as he has demonstrated through his empathetic approach at Circle of Care, where he completed his program placement and still volunteers. Here, he works with elderly clients and grieving individuals.

Brandon has had a unique educational and career journey. Coming to Guelph-Humber as a mature student with 10+ years of experience in radio broadcast and media, he pivoted his career to make a difference in the lives of others and apply transferrable communication skills.

“Just be human; be nice to people. Treat people the way they want to be treated,” Brandon said. “I moved forward with that with that mindset.”
