The University of Guelph-Humber is proud of Frank Barredo, Justice Studies alum (class of 2010), for being appointed as deputy chief at the Toronto Police Service (TPS).

Previously a staff superintendent, Deputy Chief Barredo brings almost four decades of service to the TPS.

“His extensive operational insight, tactical expertise, and steady leadership in complex public safety environments will strengthen our service and support our members,” the TPS said on an Instagram post celebrating him.

The Justice Studies program opens doors for graduates, and it’s evolving with the dynamic needs of the field. Students can pursue pathways in policing like Deputy Chief Barredo, or follow pathways into law, and beyond.
